Business Messaging
Business Messaging by MightyCall allows you to send and receive text messages & files to/from your MightyCall business numbers. SMS & MMS messaging is available both online, and on your mobile devices via the MightyCall mobile app for iPhone and Android.
MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service. If you send a message with an attached file, like an image, a video, or a document, you’re sending an MMS.
- Text messaging is available for 10-digit local and toll-free phone numbers.
- A single message includes up to 160 characters in the GSM encoding. You can send larger texts in several parts.
- You can also send and receive MMS messages through your MightyCall account.
- Text messaging to international and shortcode numbers isn't supported.
Toll-free numbers require additional verification, local numbers must have a registered A2P 10DLC brand & campaign for uninterrupted SMS traffic.
Sending and receiving messages
In the Agent workspace
You can send and receive messages in the communication panel of a selected contact (1).
Enter your message in the text field below (2), you can see how many segments by 160 symbols your message includes before sending it out. If you have several business numbers, select the one you'll be sending a message from in the drop-down list (3). Now, click on the button (4) to send your message!
Your sent messages are shown on the right side, received messages are shown on the left side.
You can send pictures, videos, documents, archives and other files as MMS by adding an attachment to your message with the paperclip button on the text field.
A singe MMS can include up to 10 attachments up to 500KB in total. Images and documents have a preview option. Your attachments are stored on the server for 6 months after the files were sent/received
Via the mobile app
Disabling text messaging
You can disable text messaging in the Numbers section for the desired phone numbers.
Toggle the green Text Messaging slider to stop sending and receiving texts for the desired phone number. You can enable the text messaging feature again at any time!
